A video news release (VNR) is a 7-8 minutes video package that aims to inform, shape public opinion or to promote products or services. VNRs are video versions of press releases, ready for journalists to integrate into their news reports. VNRs can be with or without commentary. B-Roll or stock shots are supplementary footage assembled in a news package and delivered to media professionals as free broadcast quality materials which can be incorporated in News reports, in whole or part. VNR & B-Roll often includes interviews from a spokesperson or an official representative which also can be used in a news report.
