Media training

US Mission to Nato

US Mission to Nato

Media training of US REP to NATO to face the European defense media with interviews and press conferences.

The United States Permanent Representative to NATO (commonly called the US Ambassador to NATO) is the official representative of the United States to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

The challenge

To set up training to prepare the US Ambassador spokesperson for interviews with Brussels based journalists as well as live panel interviews in a studio and live two-way interviews via satellite. Based in the Nato Headquarter in Evere, the US representation to Nato requested media training to take place on their premises.

The solution

Eyecone organised and set up the necessary equipment for two day sessions inside the secured NATO building in cooperation with the communication team from the US representation to the EU. The first session included a presentation of the Brussels based media and their expectations in terms of news content from the US rep to NATO by a former CBS journalist based in Brussels for ten years. The second day involved practical training with recorded interviews, as well as live and face–to-face interviews with a journalist.

The result

The training proved to be a positive experience for the participants and Eyecone was asked to participate in the design and implementation of the video and audio studio of the US representation to the EU in central Brussels.
